
Some mock Diaorama’s created using various thickness’ of card. I became interested in the use of collaging sillhoette’s to begin with, which was meant to be the over-all outcome. However I’d been itching for the chance to try some art direction. Problems emerged almost immediately as trying to get large scale pieces of paper to stand up straight without pieces of card or wire is near impossible.
Right at this point, I found out that Doctor of dioramas, Su Blackwell was doing a talk at Bath Spa lecture theatre. I then sat through an arduous hour and a half where the lecturer was scared stiff and almost reduced to tears on a few occasions. At the end she asked politely if anybody would like to ask questions. Somebody finally asked her how she made them stand up on their own, she replied, Im afraid thats my secret. So time wasted there, however I have discovered my own way. so how do you like that?!
